Int'l Day of Action re: PMI Mtg (May 5) - Pls respond by Fri, April 10!

Hi!

Your group was one of 170+ organizations in over 70 countries that signed on to a call to governments worldwide to take action to prevent the spin off of Philip Morris International (PMI) from worsening the global tobacco pandemic. A year has now passed since the spin off and PMI will soon hold its inaugural shareholder meeting in New York City. The Global Youth Action on Tobacco Network and the Framework Convention Alliance are co-sponsoring an International Day of Action in conjunction with the meeting. Please find more details below. So far, groups in Argentina, India, Indonesia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, and Romania have expressed interest in participating, with media outreach in other countries also being planned. If your group would like to take part in this event, please let us know as soon as possible, ideally by this Friday, April 10.
